An authentic 18th-century Provençal buffet crafted in solid walnut, retaining its original hand-forged iron hardware and a carved regional star motif to the doors. This buffet was personally sourced by us in the Var region of Southern France in summer 2025 and originates from a historic property in Saint-Julien-le-Montagnier, recently documented in Terres du Var (January 31, 2024). The region is renowned for its enduring tradition of walnut cabinetry and restrained rural craftsmanship, and this example reflects those qualities in both form and material.
The interior offers generous storage behind two paneled doors, with original construction details visible throughout. A rare and character-rich piece that combines authenticity, regional specificity, and documented provenance.
