Our story

DOP — Designs of Prestige

For years the DOP name has meant one thing in New Orleans: European antiques chosen with a dealer’s eye. The name continues, and its initials carry renewed meaning — Designs of Prestige.

Pieces are sourced across Europe, gathered in the New Orleans showroom, and delivered nationwide: one-of-a-kind antiques, architectural elements, and DOP Editions handcrafted lighting and mirrors.

Bring your ideas. We’ll help you find the right piece.

Beyond the showroom

One New Orleans address, many remarkable rooms

Over the years, pieces from DOP have traveled from the showroom floor to the Windsor Court Presidential Suite, The Celestine, residences published by Architectural Digest, and episodes of Home Town. Designers have shared the address through HGTV, while Southern Living has introduced it to readers beyond New Orleans.

Different settings, but the same role: DOP as a trusted source for pieces with history, craftsmanship, and a life beyond the showroom.

What Hasn’t Changed

Selected with a dealer's eye

Pieces are selected individually rather than by volume. Antiques and architectural elements are chosen for form, period integrity and honest condition; DOP Editions are chosen for design, craftsmanship, materials and proportion.

Chosen for craftsmanship

Hand-cut joinery, solid timber, cast and chased metalwork, original glass. We pass on decorative pieces that don't hold up to close inspection, whatever the label on them says.

Described honestly

Period, origin, material, condition and exact dimensions. Where documentation exists we publish it. Where it doesn't, we say so instead of implying provenance we can't prove.
