Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by DOP Antiques to explain, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it and how to ask us to change or remove it.

Information we collect
We collect only what we need to sell, deliver and support one-of-a-kind antiques and DOP Editions. Most of it you give us directly.
- Contact and order details — your name, email address, phone number and shipping address when you place an order, request a hold or ask about a piece.
- Delivery lookups — the ZIP code you enter into the delivery module, used to confirm whether we deliver to your destination. We do not attach that ZIP to your identity unless you are signed in or you complete an order.
- Account and order history — created and stored by our commerce platform, which is the system of record for products, prices, availability, customer accounts and checkout.
- Newsletter sign-ups — the email address you submit, used to send showroom arrivals and gallery features until you unsubscribe.
- Trade applications — business name, role, resale or tax identifiers and portfolio details submitted by designers and dealers applying for a trade account.
- Messages you send us — the contents of contact-form submissions and email correspondence.
- Basic technical data — pages viewed, referring site, device type and approximate region, collected to keep the site working and understand which collections people look for.
Payment information
DOP Antiques never sees, handles or stores your full card number. Checkout and payment are processed entirely by our commerce and payment providers on their own systems. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, along with the billing name and the last digits of the card for reconciliation.
Instagram content and The DOP Gallery
When a client, designer or photographer tags @dopantiques in a post, that post may enter a private internal queue for our team to review. Nothing published on Instagram is republished on this site automatically.
We feature a tagged post in The DOP Gallery only after the account that posted it has given us explicit permission, and we record that permission before publication. Every installation shown on this site is an approved record; pending and declined submissions stay private and are never rendered to visitors.
If you have given permission and later change your mind, write to us and we will remove the feature. See the data deletion page for how to ask.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Process orders, confirm holds, arrange white-glove delivery and answer questions about condition, provenance and dimensions.
- Quote and schedule delivery from our New Orleans showroom.
- Review and administer trade accounts.
- Send the newsletter and other messages you asked for.
- Detect fraud, prevent abuse and keep the site secure.
- Understand which pieces and collections draw interest, so we can source and photograph better.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept as long as needed for warranty, accounting and tax purposes. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form correspondence is kept while it is useful to serve you. Approved gallery features remain published until you or we remove them.
Your rights
You may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Every newsletter also carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, use the contact page or the data deletion page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request that involves account or order data.
Children
This site is intended for adults purchasing antiques and interiors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be announced on the site.
Questions or requests
Write to us about anything on this page — access, correction, marketing preferences or a gallery feature you would like taken down.
