Data deletion requests

How to request deletion

Send us a request from the contact page, or email us with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include enough detail for us to find your records:

• The email address or phone number associated with your account or order.
• Any relevant order number, if your request concerns a purchase.
• The Instagram handle and a link to the post, if your request concerns a featured photograph.
• What you want removed — everything, or a specific item.

What happens next

We acknowledge every request and work through it as promptly as we can. We may first ask you to confirm your identity, so that we do not delete someone else's records at a stranger's request.

When the work is done we confirm in writing what was deleted and what, if anything, we had to keep. Some records held by third-party service providers or required by law cannot be removed on request.

Photographs and social posts

If we hold or have published a photograph of yours in The DOP Gallery, you can ask us to remove it at any time. Send the handle and a link to the post and we will remove the feature and the record we hold.

What we may need to keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request because the law requires us to retain them. Completed sales and payment records are kept for accounting, tax and warranty purposes for the period required by law, and we retain a minimal suppression record of unsubscribed email addresses so that we do not email you again by mistake.

Everything else — marketing preferences, saved favorites, inquiry correspondence, delivery estimate lookups and gallery submissions — can be deleted.

You can also ask us to show you the information we hold, correct it, or stop marketing to you without deleting anything. The privacy policy explains those rights in full.
